Welcome to the Central Etobicoke Community Hub Initiative (CECHI)
Central Etobicoke residents have been identifying the need for services since the early '90s. The area is largely void of community services - making life more difficult for many, particularly the most vulnerable such as the elderly, children, and single parents.
The Central Etobicoke Community Hub Initiative - a not-for-profit corporation comprised of volunteer community leaders - is working to identify and create a "hub" with multiple organizations providing vital community services.
When established, the hub will make it easier for local residents to get health, social, cultural, recreational and other resources in one location, along with opportunities for interaction and fellowship with others in a safe, positive environment.
